Welcome to our chair!

We are responsible for theoretical instruction at the Department of Sociology. Our chair's more theory-oriented profile is not intended to train graduates to be mere theorists, but rather to teach them to apply a sociological perspective - including to sociology itself.

We promote reflective sociological thinking

We teach students how to deal with scientifically generated questions so that they can independently develop sociological research perspectives.
